Description

The VL53L0X is a high-precision Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser-ranging sensor module. Utilizing STMicroelectronics' FlightSense technology, this sensor measures the absolute distance to a target by calculating the time taken for emitted infrared laser pulses to reflect back to the detector. Unlike traditional infrared sensors, the VL53L0X provides distance measurements that are independent of target reflectance. This breakout board simplifies integration by providing a voltage regulator and I2C level shifting, allowing for operation with 2.6V to 5.5V power supplies. It is suitable for robotics, proximity detection, and distance measurement applications.
