About this part

Infrared distance sensors that detect how far away an object is, supplied with wiring. Choose the GP2Y0A21YK0F for shorter distances of 10 to 80cm, or the GP2Y0A02YK0F for 20 to 150cm. They're a simple way to add obstacle detection and proximity sensing to robots and interactive builds.

  • GP2Y0A21YK0F: 10 to 80cm range
  • GP2Y0A02YK0F: 20 to 150cm range
  • Supply: 4.5 to 5.5V
  • Current: about 35mA on average, with peaks around 200mA
  • Packs: 1, 5 or 10 sensors of either model

Allow for those 200mA peaks when several sensors share one 5V supply.
