About 3D Filament

Find 3D printer filament for prototypes, fixtures, replacement parts, and enclosure work with pricing shown in Canadian dollars.

Quick checks before you order

  • Match the diameter to your printer; most hobby printers take 1.75 mm
  • Check the nozzle and bed temperatures printed on the spool
  • Nylon and PETG absorb moisture, so store them sealed

Choose the material for the part

PLA is the easiest to print for models and indoor parts. PETG is tougher and more heat-resistant, a good default for functional prints. Nylon is strong and slightly flexible for gears and hinges, but it needs higher temperatures and dry filament.

Check your printer can handle it

Compare the temperature range on the spool with your printer's hotend and bed limits. Nylon prints best in an enclosure, and filled or abrasive materials need a hardened nozzle.

Keep filament dry

Moisture causes stringing, bubbles and brittle prints, especially with nylon and PETG. Store spools in a sealed bag or box with desiccant, and dry nylon before a long print.
