About this part

Heltec's WiFi LoRa 32 V4.3 combines an ESP32-S3 and an SX1262 LoRa radio on one board, with a 0.96in OLED, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It's built for Meshtastic and LoRaWAN nodes, and the V4 adds a solar input and a GPS connector, so a node can run from a battery and a small panel.

  • MCU: ESP32-S3R2 with 2MB PSRAM and 16MB flash
  • LoRa: SX1262 covering 863-928MHz, high-power version at 28 ±1dBm, receive sensitivity -137dBm (SF12, 125kHz)
  • Wireless: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 5, including LE and Mesh
  • Connections: USB-C, SH1.25 battery and solar inputs, SH1.25 8-pin GPS interface, IPEX sockets for LoRa and 2.4GHz antennas
  • Power: 3.3-4.4V lithium battery, not included; board size 51.7 x 25.4 x 10.7mm
  • Options: spring or glue rod, each as a plain 863-928MHz version or with GPS

Connect the LoRa antenna before you power up the radio.

What development methods does it support? Arduino Micro Python Platform.io Espressif IDE We strongly recommend using Arduino. We have complete technical support and provide complete LoRaWAN code for ESP32 Arduino framework. What’s the battery socket type? You can find this type of socket by search “SH1.25 x 2”. Can I order a version without the OLED display? Of course, you can contact our sales staff and provide your ideas. Are V3 and V4 compatible? They are compatible in most scenarios. Since V4 uses the same series of chips as V3, features the same OLED, and has an almost identical pin layout, V3 and V4 can be used interchangeably in the majority of cases. However, due to the increased transmit power, the transmit power settings in some code may no longer correspond directly to the actual output. Failed to upload code Please try the following steps: 1.Try using a different USB cable. 2.Enter BootLoader mode. There are two methods to enter this mode: Hold down the PRG button, connect the USB-C cable, then release the PRG button. Connect the USB-C cable, hold down the PRG button, press the RST button once, then release the PRG button.
