An L293D-based motor driver shield that sits on an Arduino board and runs up to four DC motors or two stepper motors, plus two 5V servos. Pull-down resistors keep the motors stopped when the board powers up.
Feed the motors through the external power terminals so motor current stays separate from the board's logic supply.

Product introduction 1.2 5V servo motor (steering gear) ports are connected to Arduino's high-resolution and high-precision timer - no jitter! 2. Up to 4 bidirectional DC motors and 4-way PWM speed regulation (about 0.5% resolution) 3. Up to 2 stepper motors can be used for forward and reverse control, single/double step control, staggered or micro step control and rotation angle control. 4. 4-way H-bridge: L293D chip provides 0.6A (peak 1.2A) current for each bridge and has thermal power off protection, 4.5V to 36V. 5. Pull down the resistance to ensure that the motor remains stopped when powered on. 6. The large terminal terminal makes the connection easier (10 - 22AWG) and power supply. 7. With Arduino reset button. 8.2 Large terminal external power supply terminal blocks ensure the separation of logic and motor drive power. 9. Compatible with Mega, Diecimila,&Duemilanove.
Compare SG90, MG90S, MG996R and serial bus servos by torque, size, gears and power, and work out how much torque a joint actually needs.
