About this part

An ATmega2560 development board in the Mega 2560 R3 layout, compatible with Arduino, for builds that need lots of I/O pins. The CH340 versions use a CH340G chip for USB in place of the ATmega16U2, and the listing also offers 16U2, Wi-Fi, Pro and expansion board options.

  • Microcontroller: ATmega2560 at 16 MHz, with 256KB flash (8KB used by the bootloader), 8KB SRAM and 4KB EEPROM
  • I/O: 54 digital pins (15 with PWM) and 16 analog inputs, 40 mA per I/O pin
  • Power: 5V operating voltage, 7 to 12V input recommended, 6 to 20V limits; the 3.3V pin supplies 50 mA
  • USB: CH340 versions (one with USB-C), micro USB versions and 16U2 versions, some sold with a cable
  • Other options: Mega2560 WIFI, MEGA2560 PRO, Expansion Board and Expansion Board DIY

Keep the input between 7 and 12V for normal use; the 6 to 20V figures are limits, not working values.
