About this part
A KY-033 line tracking module built on the TCRT5000 infrared reflection sensor. It shines infrared light at a surface and reads how much reflects back, which lets a line-following robot tell a line from the floor around it or notice a nearby obstacle.
- TCRT5000 infrared reflection sensor
- 5V supply
- Digital output: high when something is within 1 mm to 25 mm, low otherwise
- Works with Arduino-compatible, AVR, ARM and PIC boards
- Mounting holes; packs of 1, 5 or 10
With a range of 1 mm to 25 mm it needs to sit close to the surface, and the 5 and 10 packs cover a row of sensors across the front of a robot.

Supplier description
Provided by the supplier. Our shipping, returns and support terms apply.
The KY-033 line tracking module utilizes the TCRT5000 infrared reflection sensor to detect surfaces or objects. It operates on a 5V supply and provides a digital output signal based on infrared reflection intensity. When an object is detected within the 1mm to 25mm range, the module outputs a high signal; otherwise, it remains at a low level. Designed for easy integration with Arduino, AVR, ARM, and PIC platforms, this module features integrated mounting holes for secure installation. Common applications include line-following robotics, obstacle detection, and industrial pulse data sampling.
