About this part

Lead-free solder wire made of 99.7% tin and 0.3% copper, with a flux core that helps the solder flow onto the joint as you feed it in. It's meant for electronics assembly and repair, from soldering header pins onto modules to joining wires.

  • Alloy: Sn 99.7%, Cu 0.3%, lead-free
  • Flux core: 2.0%
  • Diameters: 0.6 mm for fine work, 0.8 mm for general use, 1.0 mm for thick wires
  • Roll weights of 20 g, 30 g or 50 g including the spool, holding 10 g, 20 g or 30 g of solder

Clean the joint first, then use a temperature-controlled iron at 300 to 350°C: heat the joint and feed the solder into it. Store the roll somewhere cool and dry.
